Synopsis: Woman. Athlete. Greek. A relentless fight. A battle waged both on the mat and far beyond it.

With one hand tied by circumstance – by lack of support, by lack of facilities, by winter’s cold and summer’s heat – the quest for greatness becomes a heroic feat long before her foot crosses into the safety zone. And yet, there are a few, like Maria Prevolaraki, who choose to step forward. To find a way, despite Greece and for Greece, to keep fighting – to honor the calling of sport and, through it, to honor their homeland.

This is the story of Maria Prevolaraki, chasing the Olympic medal she has long dreamed of, knowing that the Paris Olympics may be her final chance.
