SH WF “SOPHIA” – Sophia Berikashvili, Germany, 2025, 19’

Synopsis: This short film is about Sophia, an artist, emigrant, and single mother. She has been registered as unemployed for a year and receives social assistance. Nevertheless, she has many projects. At an appointment at the employment office, she explains to the clerk what she does: she performs as a musical actress at the Drehleier Theater, acts in two plays at the Galli Theater, works as a model, teaches children’s dance, and recently she has also started working as a clown. Unfortunately, the clerk doesn’t want to know anything about the “artist’s profession” and gives the single mother a month to find a “real” job.
