Synopsis: A short film dedicated to the GENOCIDE OF THE PONTIAN GREEKS, focusing on the theme “The Rebels of Pontus.”
Between 1917 and 1922, the Pontian Greeks, in defense of human life and dignity, took to the mountains with selflessness and sacrifice. They formed rebel groups to protect their families and homes from the atrocities, persecutions, and methods of extermination by the Turks—actions so horrific they defy human comprehension.
Directed by: Mr. Leonidas Perdetzis & Mr. Avraam Papadopoulos Filming and Production Supervision: VideoMasters Productions Script: Written by Mr. Kyriakos Sahanidis (Author of the Pontian Dialect) Approximately 30 individuals participated, under the guidance of President Mrs. Sofia Savvidou.
In addition to the theater group of the Association, the following actors made friendly appearances: Avraam Papadopoulos, Takis Vamvakidis, and the Very Reverend Archimandrite Gerasimos Goundros.
