Ira, a traveller to the land of gods, meets her alter ego, Ares. She writes a letter narrating her experiences in the city of Athens as though a reflection of her soul, upon having met with her angels and demons. Dear Athens reads as a conversation about how history is portrayed in the present, how to discover the meaning of love, how art could be the salvation to self destruction, how to find the strength to fight alone, and eventually how to accept everything as a circle of life. Yet, there is more than what meets the eye until the end.
