Synopsis: When a State bowed before a poor fisherman, it eventually paved the way for dignity to triumph. Thavassi was living happily with his wife, sister, and two young children. But on that fateful day, on the Rameswaram seashore, lady luck got stuck on his hand in the form of a gold pendant. Never in the wildest of his dreams did Thavassi think that it would turn his dreams upside down and make life miserable for him and his family. Thavassi Muthu agonisingly pleads to have his dignity restored.

In a legal battle never witnessed in the judicial history of the country, lawyer Kanchana guards Thavassi like a knight. Her perseverance and sheer determination demolish the bastions of egoistic bureaucracy and the treacheries of law enforcement personnel. It is now up to her to ensure that Thavassi can lead a normal life without the tag of a thief imposed on him by the police.
