Synopsis: “Dirty Roses” by Petra Stone is dealing with the power of the soul of the disabled persons and the war refugees in Greece. Two extreme marginalized groups with the most helpless victims, the one of the countries of the third world with racial and ethnic minorities, and the second one is often socially degraded. Their common field in life is the fear, the love and the will, the triptych of the motto “that which does not kill us makes us stronger”! The monologue is an adaptation of Robert Schneider’s theatrical play, “Dirt”. Both of the heroes of the short film, Nana the handicapped Greek young lady and Hassan from Iraq, the roses seller are not professional actors and they act their ownself.
