INTERNATIONAL NEREUS FILM AWARDS
Nereus is a deity from Greek mythology, protector of the pure sea, wisdom, and kindness. He symbolizes flow, clarity, and depth, just like good cinema!
This year’s Jury of the 7th Loutraki Bridges International Film Festival for the NEREUS AWARDS is composed of distinguished personalities from the fields of theater, cinema, education, and media. With many years of experience and deep knowledge of artistic creation and its social impact, the members of the committee play a decisive role in evaluating the Festival’s entries.
Mary Vidali – Actress, Director of Diachronos Theater
A prominent actress with a long career in Greek theater and television. She graduated with honors from the Pelos Katselis Drama School. As the founder and artistic director of “Diachronos” Theater in Athens, she actively contributes to the country’s cultural life.
Spyros Bibilas – Actor, Former President of SEI
An award-winning actor with significant contributions to theater, television, and cinema. As President of the Greek Actors’ Union, he has defended artists’ rights with integrity, consistency, and social awareness.
Eleni Petropoulou – Actress, Educator, Global Arts School – Corinth
An actress with a strong stage presence and dedication to artistic education. She teaches acting at the Global Arts School in Corinth, inspiring the new generation of actors with her passion for expression and theatrical truth.
Konstantinos Bisdas – Director, Actor, Artistic Director of “Arsinoe”
With a career spanning over 30 years in theater and studies under important teachers (Kataleifos, Piatas, Vouteris, Biniaris), he has directed and performed in dozens of plays. He has also worked in cinema, creating short films and documentaries.
Anna Nikolaidi – Producer, Journalist, Postdoctoral Researcher
Creator of the successful TV shows “ANADEIXE TO” and “BE WELL,” with a long-standing presence on Greek television. The show “ANADEIXE TO” has been honored with external production awards (BOUSSIAS COMMUNICATIONS, 2019 & 2023). She is a philosophy researcher at the University of Ioannina.
Alexis Chaviaras – Set Designer, Animation Director, Screenwriter
He teaches Art and Design at European universities. Holds an M.A. in Art Direction for Animation and a DProf in Scenography from Middlesex University. He has directed award-winning animated films such as Agrinoui (2015) and Struthio (2011). Currently, he is working on the animated series Olympia the Horse.
Avraam Papadopoulos – Actor
Born in Drama and raised in Athens, he trained at G. Theodosiadis’ Drama School, with additional studies in journalism and business administration. Since 2005, he has been active in theatrical and television productions, as well as in short and feature-length films, both as an actor and director.
Dimitris Kannavos – Journalist, Founder of Hellenic Media Group
A cultural editor with deep knowledge of Greek and international artistic affairs. Cyberjournalist and Press Representative of the Thessaloniki Radio Museum. Member of the Association of European Journalists (Greek Section), founding member of the International Association of Cretan Journalists, founder of the volunteer journalistic network Hellenic Media Group, he contributes with his insightful perspective to cultural promotion and communication.
