The Bridges International Film Festival of Peloponnese is awarded the EFFE Label which is Europe’s quality stamp for remarkable arts festivals showing their engagement in the arts, community involvement and international openness. The Bridges International Film Festival is under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Prefecture of Peloponnese.
The 11th Bridges International Film Festival kicks off its online program, beginning December 11th and ending December 25th with screenings and parallel events powered by the platform Inspire-TV®. Every day will include virtual Meet and Greet sessions at inspire-tv.com with the 40 directors who had virtual screenings at the Festival.

Masterclass: “Is Your Idea a Play or a Film?” by Agata Darlasi, writer’s coach and storytelling consultant, director and screenwriter and Yannis Tsechelidis, award-winning theatrical playwright and Festival’s script analyst.
Agata Darlasi. Her talks, workshops and masterclasses have been presented in Film Festivals and various events and cities around Europe. She gave a Ted Talk in TEDXKomotini 2017 about The power of Storytelling with the title «Time For Heroes». In 2014 she created “The Storytelling Gene” an online platform for research and application of different storytelling techniques where she offers her services and develops educational workshops that have been presented in various institutions and festivals. In 2018 she co-founded the Own Your Story Team, where she deals deeper into the functions of leadership narrative and collaborates with TEDxAthens as a Storytelling Speaker’s Coach.

Helene Granqvist is a prizewinning producer. She graduated from The Royal Theatre School in Copenhagen. In 2011 she founded the Nordic Factory Film. Her films have been in Sundance, Cannes, Toronto, Tribeca and San Sebastian. She is a pitch coach and a lecturer internationally. Since 2013 she has been the president of the board of Women in Film & Television, Sweden, the founder of both WIFT Nordic and Alliance of Women’s Networks in Europe. Since 2018 she has been the president for Women in Film & Television International. She is a member of the European Film Academy and a funding member of ARTEF (Anti Racism Taskforce European Film).
Rea Walldén. Film theorist and filmmaker. She holds a Ph.D. in philosophy. She teaches in the Department of Digital Art and Cinema of Athens University, and in the Hellenic Open University. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Film Centre (2017); the European Network for Avant-Garde and Modernism Studies (2015-17); and a member of Women in Film and Television Greece since 2018 and has been president since June 2020. Also, a member of the Hellenic Semiotic Society, the International Association for Semiotic Studies, the Society for European Philosophy and the Hellenic Film Academy. She co-wrote the feature film “Thief or Reality” with Antoinetta Angelidi. She also directed experimental shorts.
Petra Terzi’s films have been selected in over 60 Festivals. Her film “She Should Run”-concerning women empowerment, human rights and diversity- received the “Best Cultural Award” at the Los Angeles World Film Fair, a “Merit Spotlight on Women” in Cannes, Artisan Festival International World Peace Initiative, a Merit at the WRPN Women International Film Festival, USA and a special prize at the Balkan New Film Festival. She directed the documentary “Roses Trilogy” about refugees and the disabled. She has under development “Butterfly’s Dizziness” a psychological thriller, “Round Red Candy” a romantic drama, and “I am Nana” an inspirational film. She is member of the Cyprus Directors Guild, the Greek Directors Guild, NYWIFT, WIFT GR, founding member and President of WIFT CY.

The film follows four NGOs throughout Southeast Asia as they fight to effect change and end human sex trafficking.

The director states: With this film, I set out to not only expose the causation of trafficking but to reveal practical solutions. My hope is that following these brave abolitionists and their organizations will inspire others to join the fight in whatever way they can—small or large.

Inspire-TV® #LiveTalks – December 25, at 20:00 Greek time – Golden Pegasus Awards Ceremony
On Christmas Day, December 25, the Festival will offer an all- day online screening of all short films at the Bridges Goes Online programme. Also on Christmas Day, the Golden Pegasus Awards Ceremony will take place with a special artistic show with the El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra and the artist Anastasia, live on Zoom powered by Inspire-TV.com and on the Bridges Festival Facebook page. The jury members from Los Angeles, New York, Scranton, Athens, Piraeus, Corinth and the Festival’s director will announce the awards in the various Festival’s categories. The participant filmmakers from all over the world will be present to exchange greetings.

Anastasia is a singer/songwriter and independent artist based in Los Angeles, CA. She is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music with a Dual Degree in Voice Performance & Songwriting. She is a Contemporary trained singer, who performs spirited yet heartfelt original songs with a pop improvisation flair. She loves, performs and is inspired by Pop, R&B and Soul. Anastasia has received a distinction at the New Talent Festival and participated several times in the “Performance of Your Life” organized by the Cultural Company Cine@Art for charitable purposes.

El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra

In the video presented at the awards ceremony of the “BRIDGES” Film Festival, El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra performs “He’s a Pirate”, from one of the orchestra’s last rehearsals at the Maliaras School in Alimos, before the second lockdown in Greece. 42 children and young adults, ages 10 to 26 participated.
The song was composed in 2003 by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer for the Disney film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”. The song is featured on the soundtrack of the film and used at the opening credits. The track has been covered by many artists most notably by Tiesto in 2006 and Rebel in 2014. Renditions of the track were also used for the credits of the four Pirates sequels.
El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra (ESGYO) is performing an arrangement by Tormod Tvete Vik for youth orchestras, conducted by El Sistema Greece’s principal conductor and artistic director, Jose Angel Salazar Marín.
El Sistema Greece is a community music program for social inclusion with the aim of creating a community centered on music, free of restrictions and discrimination. Since 2016, it offers free, high-quality music education to children and young people from various social backgrounds, in different parts of Athens, including refugee camps. El Sistema Greece uses the innovative teaching method that was created by the Venezuelan social action program El Sistema, adapted in over 60 countries and recognized as a tool for youth crime prevention by UNICEF. Since October 2020, the free music lessons of El Sistema Greece are also offered to the young people of Corinth in collaboration with the Kalogeropouleio Foundation.
