12th ‘BRIDGES’ International Film Festival Corinthia Peloponnese ‘Golden Pegasus’ Awards Ceremony

4/9 Ancient Corinth - Cultural Centre ‘Anastasia Kefala’

On Saturday the 4th of September, the ‘Golden Pegasus’ awards ceremony took place at the Cultural Centre ‘Anastasia Kefala’ in Ancient Corinth.

The night started at 08:00 pm with a special musical program inspired by international film scores and performed by the Corinthian Cellos: Eugene Bensis, Chris Panagopoulos and Loucas Malamadakis.

The special guests and distinguished film, theatre and TV famous actors, Katerina Helmi and Harry Romas, the directors and artists that participated and the cinephile population of Ancient Corinth attended the Festival.

The International Film Festival Bridges took advantage of the outdoor screenings in Ancient Corinth and hosted two more Festivals of the non-profit Cultural Company Cine@Art that due to the pandemic couldn’t happen at the preprogrammed closed spaces: the 2nd DELΦΙ Film Festival – with the Apollon Awards and the 15th Festival Cine@Art with short experimental films 1’-5’ in length.

The Art Director of the Bridges Festival, Petra Terzi, thanked everyone that supported the 12th arranging of the Corinth International Film Festival – Bridges in Ancient Corinth:

9. The communication sponsors,ERT3, Eidisoules, Mr, Niko Stasinopoulo, MyRadio and Mr. Leonida Lesaki, ATNews and Mr. Simos Sofos, E-Korinthos, Thymios Tsarmpos, perahora.gr and all local media that transmitted the event that took place for the first time in Ancient Corinth.

The organizers of the Festival are hoping to keep holding the Festival every year around the same period of time at the warm and welcoming space of the Cultural Centre ‘Anastasia Kefala’ in Ancient Corinth.

The independent jury in Ancient Corinth included: Konstantina Soukouli, Eleni Soukouli, Konstantina Papaioanou, Foteini Marini, Georgia Tsimpouri,Euagelia Kakouri,Sofia Bourtzidou,Katerina Roumelioti,Katerina Nezi, Euagelia Leonardou, Tampouris Vaggelis and Sarantos Roumeliotis.

The Jury of the feature films included:
Bejay Browne – director, journalist from Cyprus; George F. Roberson – producer, screenwriter from the United States (Queer Lion Jose); and Vivek Sighania – producer,director from India.

At the end of the awards given to Katerina Helmi and Harry Roma, the audience watched the feature film Massimi by Claudio Rossi, that won the Award ‘Apollon’ and was part of the DELΦΙ Film Festival.
