11th Bridges International Film Festival - Meet and Greet WIFT in Greece and Cyprus
 

From the founder and organizer of the Bridges International Film Festival, the fillmaker and producer Petra Terzi, a dual member of NYWIFT, a member of WIFT GR and a founding member of WIFT CY in Cyprus.

The Bridges International Film Festival of Peloponnese is awarded the EFFE Label which is Europe’s quality stamp for remarkable arts festivals showing their engagement in the arts, community involvement and international openness. The Bridges International Film Festival is under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Prefecture of Peloponnese.

Half of the Festival program consists of films made by women directors or producers and offers balance and harmony to the ideas presented. The Festival program emphasizes climate change, human rights and the empowerment of minorities and women.

The 11th Bridges International Film Festival kicks off its online program, beginning December 11th and ending December 25th with screenings and parallel events powered by the platform Inspire-TV®. Every day will include virtual Meet and Greet sessions at inspire-tv.com with the 40 directors who had virtual screenings at the Bridges Festival Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/bridgesfilmfest

The opening of the online program is highlighted by a script contest and a masterclass “Is Your Idea a Play or a Film?” by Agata Darlasi, writer’s coach and storytelling consultant, director and screenwriter and Yannis Tsechelidis, award-winning theatrical playwright and Festival’s script analyst on December 11, at 8pm Greek time.
A round table “Women in Film and Television: strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.- Why WIFT?” with the producer Helene Granqvist, President of “WIFTI – Women in Film and Television Internationally”, the academic Rea Wallden, President of WIFT Greece and the film director and producer Petra Terzi, President of WIFT Cyprus will be held on December 13, at 8pm, Greek time. On Christmas Day, December 25, the Festival will offer an all- day online screening of all short films at Bridges Goes Online program. Also on Christmas Day, the Golden Pegasus Awards Ceremony will take place with a special artistic show with the El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra and the artist Anastasia, live on Zoom by Inspire-TV.com and on the Bridges Festival Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/bridgesfilmfest

The Inspire-TV® platform also provides a VOD service for the selected films after the end of the Festival.

From the sales of individual tickets for the online screenings of feature films and online film premieres, the directors/producers receive 40% of the net income.
Holders of the Festival Pass are eligible to vote for the Audience Award.
